A-membership can be achieved by anyone who:
- has graduated from a place of education recognized by DSF,
- has been a B-member for three consecutive years and in that period has been employed as an actor, opera singer, dancer, or choreographer to an extent approved by the board of directors,
- for three consecutive years has been employed as an actor, opera singer, dancer, or choreographer to an extent approved by the board of directors.
B-membership can be achieved by anyone who:
- is able, in front of the board of directors, to produce documentation for employment as an actor, opera singer, dancer, or choreographer on payment and working terms recognized by DSF.
(B-membership is a trial membership, implying that a member can be transferred to A-membership after a period of 3 years 3-year period, provided that he or she has had relevant employment to an extent approved by the board of directors).
Student membership can be achieved by anyone who:
- has been admitted to a place of education recognized by DSF, either in Denmark or abroad.
